Is there treatment to stop necrosis during Tissue Expansion Breast Reconstruction after Mastectomy.

Posted by Fiona

I have had a mastectomy in april, at the same time having a tissue expander put under the muscle. Over two months ago I developed Necrosis and after two prescriptions of anti-biotics it is still not healed. I am extremely worried that the tissue expander will become exposed, in which case it might have to be removed. Is there any more/other treatment I can get. I would be very grateful of any advise you could give me. Please let me know if there is anything I can do or any specific supplement I can take to help it to heal.

It is advisable that you return to your doctor who carried out the operations for you. It can pose a great threat to your health if no immediate action is taken.

Take care!
