is an 8mm lump in the breast a abnormally big sized lump to be found in a mammagram

this was found on my wifes mammogram. Two 8 mm  lumps with spider web like strings coming from it.

I would have any lump removed immediately, or at least biopsied. I had two "clear" mammograms and two "clear" sonograms, and never thought to ask for a biopsy. Four years after I first found the lump, it was Stage 3 breast cancer. If you're worried about cost, a lumpectomy is $27,000; cancer starts at $400,000...and goes up from there.
Amen to April's answer. I would check with a qualified radiologist.
