How likely is the average male to contract breast cancer?

Not very, thankfully.

Less than 1% of all breast tumors occur in males. There will only be 450 deaths estimated from breast cnacer in men in 2011.

However, if a man has breast cancer there is a strong family link genetically, that is, if a man has breast cancer, his daughters are at high risk for developing it.
