how about a ventilated TLSO brace

Posted Aug 28 2009 8:12pm

I am learning that after the temperature hits 80 degrees, wearing this TLSO brace feels like walking around in a furnace. My home office is on the third floor of our loft, which gets quite warm during the day. This brace, however, seems to create its own heat wave. I could not get comfortable today no matter h IMG_0425 ow much ice water I drank or how close I sat to the fan. When I removed it this evening, I found itchy red welts all over my trunk.

Out comes more of this lotion from Eucerin® with calming itch relief. It really works great, and it doesn’t contain cortisone.

I’ll have to do more research. Maybe I can find a summer version that has ventilation. So far no luck, but perhaps someone reading this will have some knowledge or suggestions. Aah, maybe I’ll check craigslist or eBay. I’m sure if there’s a ventilated TLSO brace to be found, I’ll find it there.
