Do you believe in "alternative" treatments when it comes to cancer? English researchers have announced that some homeopathic medicines may ease the side effects of cancer treatments.
In a review of studies the Cochrane Collaboration said, that while there were few studies, it did appear that some effects of radiotherapy and chemotherapy could be alleviated. Unfortunately the number of studies reviewed as well as the number of individuals in the studies were small. The review was led by Dr Sosie Kassab, a specialist in complementary cancer therapies at the Royal London Homeopathic Hospital.
When you have research like that about a topic that is already controversial nothing is actually accomplished.
For those who don't know, homeopathy is a form of alternative medicine that treats a disease by using a highly diluted preparation created from substances that would ordinarily cause the symptoms of the illness being treated.
