Trying to find a food that tastes even partially okay is difficult and getting very frustrating. There is a
constant metallic taste in my mouth.
Right now apples are tasting okay. About 97% of anything else I keep trying tastes just aweful. Like the Ben & Jerry's heath bar crunch last night: one bite and it tasted sour. Yuck. This happens with most things; they taste sour or stale or just plain disgusting.
UGH.
I have 2 more treatments of the "Big Guns Combo of A/C." They are 3 weeks apart. I call them the BGC because they are the bad boys. They have the toughest side effects and do the most damage to myself and the cancer.
After that I go to T & H every week for 3 months then H every 3 weeks for 9 months. The Taxol & Herceptin are long treatments so I should plan on spending the majority of the day each time I go for 3 months. Yeah! Bring it on! (Not.) The upside is the side effects will lessen as I start the next set of treatments. Except for the fatigue. That can get worse as I go.
Taxol is a chemo agent and Herceptin is not.
Apple here I come.....
