In a stunning statement the Cancer Prevention Coalition announced that "While the plan reflects strong emphasis on oncology, disturbingly no reference is made to prevention, and the wide range of avoidable causes of cancer."

Not to diminish the work of the Cancer Prevention Coalition but while preventing cancer is an incredibly admirable goal there are lots of companies with lots of money and thus, lots of lobbyists who work very hard to make sure that we don't get a list of the things in our lives that are no good for us. Obama's been in office for what FOUR days and he has a comprehensive cancer plan. The last resident couldn't spell comprehensive, maybe not even cancer so let's just have a moment to be pleased that cancer is even being discussed.
