My mother has breast cancer and we will not know until her mastectomy if it has spread to other parts of her body or not. She drinks 2+ glasses of alcohol 4-5 times a week and says she will stop after her surgery. My sister is concerned that this might intensify or cause the existing cancer to spread. Any comments on the effects of alcohol or suggestions as to how we can convince her to stop?
