Bracelet from JoanieBug

Not too long after I found out I had BC Joanie (A Ladybug) gave me this cool bracelet. All the Ladybugs have one too.

The bracelet is from "Friends Of Mel." The website link is over to the right. When you purchase a bracelet the money goes to cancer research, education programs and my favorite - supporting individuals in treatment and in financial stress as a result of the illness in Mass.

Wearing the bracelet shows you either support someone who has BC or you yourself have BC.

You can also find these lovely bracelets at select gift stores. They are not expensive and are lightweight since the beads are plastic.

This bracelet means a lot to me. It's not just about cancer - it's also about friendship, generosity, steadfast support, kindness, caring, LOVE & HOPE. Hope that sometime soon there will be no breast cancer. No cancer of any form for that matter.

Joanie lost her mother at a young age to BC and has lived with the lifelong worry of having it herself. She understands how cruel and devastating cancer can be. And so far - she has not had to endure it herself so WOOHOO! Let's keep seeing another clean mammo Joanie Bug! And ditto for Noreen (A Ladybug) who is celebrating her almost 10 year anniversary cancer free!! She has been up-close & personal with BC and survived! That deserves a huge "WOO-Friggin-HOO!!"
