A visit to the Cancer Clinic

Posted Feb 12 2013 12:00am
Tomorrow I have an appointment at the Cancer Clinic with one of the nurses there to be tested for lymphedema.  My arm has not been good for some time now and is painful on the underside and runs up and down my left arm, under in the armpit and down the side where I had my reconstruction. My right eye has also been swelling badly especially when I wake up in the morning...this swelling has been now about a week. I really did not want to go to the clinic but my daughter persuaded me that I should get it looked at. I am hoping that it is not lymphedema especially when there is no cure for it but it can be controlled with the proper care.  There is massage and wrapping of the arm to reduce the swelling.....keeping my fingers crossed on this one.
