Winter Weight -Time to Drop It!

Today, I registered for the 12 week course at Lutheran Hospital put on by Dr. Kachman. It is pretty intensive. Since the surgery, I have tried various methods of getting back in shape, and last summer dropped about fifteen pounds which I promptly put back on over the winter. I am on some pretty powerful drugs for seizures and they really slow me down, but I really can't blame them, because I love to eat junk food so much that I know-deep in my soul ;-) that that is the main culprit, along with my other addiction to the Law and Order franchise that keeps me firmly on my ---- and not very active during my down times.

Today, the gal who is supposed to be motivating us to lose weight said that she had read somewhere that my city is known for being very large, and that there are not too many active things to do around here, although she did concede that more trails are becoming available. I know exactly what she means. I know that our most prevalent entertainment centers are those that include food or movies- both of which keep a person using their butt more than their legs. So, there you have it- I now have 12 weeks to get myself motivated.
