Where is Sleep in this Deprived World?

Posted Apr 01 2009 1:35pm

Despite a very hectic schedule I find that I still wake up periodically in the middle of the night. Most of the time I fall back asleep quickly. Other times I begin to toss and turn. Over the years, I have found that a number of ways to tire myself in order to go back to sleep.
1) Take a hot bath.
2) Eat-not chocoate
3) Drink milk-never hot milk (what is it with hot milk) all answers will be verified!

4) Tap dance
5) Watch reruns of 2008 election
6) Listen to repeats of the Monica Lewinsky scandal since cable news still seems excited about it
7) Count backwards from 60 and envision a long stairwell as I repeat each number in my head. Eventually, I fall down the stairs into a sleep number bed.

Frankly, all of them have worked or not worked over the years. Spring is right around the corner and I am excited-so no rest for the wicked until summer is here.
