What causes brain swelling?Can issues in ones serious personal problems account for some swelling?Can smoking account for this?

Hi,

 I wanted to know if you could advise me on the above please as I have been getting constant headaches and head pains for the last 2-3 weeks. I have had a scan and am awaiting the results. The dcotor told me that it probably wouldn't be serious as I am 37 andin relatively good health apart from my smoking.
