Twas The Day After Turkey Day- And all through the House!

Oh, and now I suppose you thought I was going to do a tired remake of "Twas the Night before Christmas...yadyadaya!
NaH! I was just sitting here over at my daughter's house. See, I got up at four this morning cause she had to be at work at 5. I am here because my little grandson's are off school today, and sleeping snug in their beds, full of turkey, mashed potatoes, corn, mac and cheese, stuffing, and pumpkin pie. Those little guys sure can sleep.
And me? Well, I woke up at three and saw no reason to go back to sleep. Turned on the tube and watched the horror that is India right now. Then, I hopped on my computer, and worked for awhile on one of my current 'save the world' projects and then decided to hoof it over here. It was a grand walk at 4:30am. No cars -even though it is Black Friday and all the sales start at 5am. No other walkers, which actually was a source of comfort to me at this time of day -no, not a soul in sight.
Right now, on this post Turkey Day I am turning my gaze towards Christmas. It is my family's first year without my father. Mother lives up at the lakes now alone=somewhere she never wanted to be, and all of us worry about her. My sister will be flying in at Christmas to squire mother and my aunt around to see all of the family here in town and then before we know it the New YEAR will come and all of this will be behind us..
