I have been a resident of northeast Indiana for almost 59 years and this has been the weirdest winter ever. Most of the time I just slog through each one. I prepare my car, with a good oil change, check my tires,- do some other maintenance that may be needed, and make sure I have a good scraper. Then I get out the gloves, my winter coat, winter sweaters, vests, sweatshirts, and heavier socks, and my ever present sunglasses. The sun on the snow is more blinding than any summer sun glare!
Next I bring in the teak wood patio furniture , the birdfeeder, the plants, and anything else that I think won't be able to stand the winter blasts.
This year I have done all of those things, but it has hardly seemed necessary- I have rarely worn my coat, and everything else probably should always be done at least once a year anyway. What is this weather?
