I really haven't been writing much lately. There is a reason. I started to get obsessed with how many hits I was getting (which were good) and how many comments (which were few) and I realized I was losing sight of the reason I started this blog, for me to tell my story. Why should I care if its being read a lot or if anyone has something to say about it. I just needed to get my thoughts together again. Plus I was feeling really good and I didn't think this blog should just be about my daily activities, it should be about my condition and its effect on me. The truth is every minute of every day I feel the effects of the tumors. In my leg mainly, but also in any slight pain I get anywhere ( I am more aware of everything that goes on with my body and I am getting better at knowing when something is wrong.) I am living and that has to do with the tumors and all the procedures I went thru last year, so the day to day events of life ARE important. Plus its good therapy for myself to write everything down, very cathartic. So I am going to write more. Although this weekend may be tough because I am working and since I haven't worked since July I might be exhausted when I get home, but I will try. I am sure I am going to have interesting stories! Tomorrow I have to go to a sex shop and pick up some product placement sex toys and shirts and stuff! Should be interesting! There is a scene where the characters are getting a delivery of sex toys they ordered online! Big fun!
Today was a decent day. I woke up and watched Crossing Jordan on A & E while I ate my oatmeal and drank my coffee. Then I went to 2 prop houses. One specializes in medical equipment, I needed to get some IV bags, and one is a major prop house- I went there to get the slate I mentioned last time. Then I decided to stop at a craft store to see if I could find something that could help make my new cane look better, the packing tape just looked horrible. I found a couple of products I wanted to try and then I stopped at In and Out Burger and then came home. In and Out was a mistake, my stomach hurt afterwards! I cleaned off the tape from my cane and reprinted some of the pictures and started to redo the cane. It looks much better now. But I must say I bought Aleene's Paper Glaze to put over the pics I printed. It says that it won't run colors. The colors totally ran. So I had to reprint some of the pics again and was a little more careful about how I put the glaze on. The colors still ran, but it looks much better. I really like this cane and the producer's are excited to see it. Plus they want me to take it to show the sex toy people! I hope I get a free toy out of the deal! I mean they aren't paying me and I am giving them free advertising!
Well, I have to go get my kit together (all my props and tools) to take with me Thursday. I would wait until tomorrow to bring everything downstairs, but tomorrow I have to do laundry and I don't want to do all that stair climbing in one day. And I have to do my stretches, it has been hard to get to sleep the last couple of nights because I haven't been doing my stretches.
