The Miracle of Blinds

Posted Oct 30 2008 3:24pm

One of the coolest inventions ever has been mini-blinds. Why? Well, because it eliminates drapes if you no longer want to use them. And because mini-blinds are now so stylish you can get them in every color, and every style imaginable. Best part? No drapes! I hate drapes!

Today, a product known as faux wood blinds are available. I love them because they are more economical and much more fashionable.

The world has turned into a wondrous place, after all.

My mother often says she wishes she had been raising her family of five children today rather than in the early sixties because now there are Dollar Stores and Walmarts, places where you can get a good deal and still get a pretty good product. The only flaw in this argument is that then they were making pretty good money, had great benefits and union protection. They might have had to pay a little more at Sears, or J.C. Penneys for back-to-school clothes or household furnishings, but in those days they had the money to do it.
