I woke up this morning and my forehead was ice cold and completely covered in sweat! Either that or I dreamt it, I did go back to sleep for another hour or so after that. But was it real? It sure seemed like it. So why would I be all covered in sweat? It wasn't that hot in my bedroom and when I woke up later I wasn't sweaty, although the collar of my shirt was damp. This happens every once in awhile, always totally freaks me out too. When I went to bed my head had that heavy feeling and my leg was cramping up so I took some advil and fell asleep. Slept pretty good too, until the waking up sweaty.
I finished my bracelet, almost, just waiting for my next shipment because I ordered some liver of sulfur to finish it. The liver of sulfur will oxidize the bracelet so it will give it some shading. Right now the letters don't really stand out, once I dip it in liver of sulfur it will make the letters darker so they will stand out. I should receive that shipment on Friday and then once its finished I will take a pic and post it. Its pretty rough, being my first piece, but its not so bad, but it will be better when its completely finished. I've also come up with more ideas for the foundation, once I get things figured out I will post on that as well...
I found some organizations that help brain tumor patients financially, most are for cancer patients. The Brain Tumor Society (www.tbts.org) will give grants of up to $2000 to patients for non-medical things, like transportation and child care. I am sure that is helpful to those people, but what about the folks who don't have children, or whose children are grown but they can't pay their medical bills and end up losing their life savings or house or both? Those people need help. Medicare and Social Security are barely helpful and are difficult to get. Unfortunately the more I researched it, the more difficult I find it will be. To start an organization that simply raises money for an already existing charity is much easier, which is probably why there are so many. I am not discouraged though, I am more determined, I just need to find a financial backer, or win the lottery! For now I am thinking of starting a website to at least get the process going and start awareness to the need for the program, but before that I need to come up with a good name for the organization and website. I could start selling my jewelry on the site, but I would need to get a seller's permit and business license, etc... or I could show the merchandise and just ask for donations, to keep the site open, but there is probably gov't permits and such to deal with still so I need to figure it all out. I could organize a fundraiser, but even that costs money. I need to get back to work so I can save up some money so I can get all this underway!
