Steroids, again

Posted Sep 03 2009 1:36pm
I called my doc yesterday because I woke up with a horrible headache and it wouldn't go away with pain killers. He put me back on the steroids, which really sucks, but what sucks more is that it worked which means that there is still swelling. I don't know how long there is going to be swelling or how long I am going to have to be on steroids, I had some left over so no new prescription but I already had an appointment to see doc on tuesday anyway so we'll talk then anyway about it. What happens if we can't get the swelling to stop? The main reason we did the surgery was because he was afraid of swelling after gamma knife so now we have swelling after surgery, I don't like it, and it certainly isn't helping my leg any!
My knee is starting to bend a little, but I am not doing as well as I'd like. After my first surgery I was going back to work by now, I am certainly not ready to go to work right now. Of course I had some help and they were very understanding with my limitations, but still. I don't think I could the same job right now.
