Setting a Table for Spring

We are close to the time when strawberries, and other great fresh foods will be making their move onto our kitchen tables.

But, not just yet.  We are on the precipice of spring food.  It is always difficult at this time of year to really know what is in season, especially in Northeast Indiana.  Soon, the farmer's markets will be opening, ( probably early May) and then we will be able to get a look at the fresh foods we all love to eat!

Of course, it might be a great time to institute a family meal time, too- so everyone can sit around a table and find out about each other's day.  Remember when people used to do that?

And, then after the meal everyone would move to the living room, set their drinks on casters and talk about politics, movies, and the the current events of Aunt Sally down the street, or the newest store in town.  


Hard to believe that that lifestyle ever existed, doesn't it?
