Review Your Life As If It Were Your Last Day

Posted May 22 2009 11:55pm

This video from the Wall Street Journal, just under 5 minutes long, will move you. In it, Professor Randy Pausch from Carnegie Mellon University gives his last lecture, as he was dying from pancreatic cancer. The lecture formed part of an ongoing series of last lectures by prominent speakers who had been asked to speak as though it were the last lecture they were ever to give. At the time of the lecture, Professor Pausch expected to have only weeks left to live. This is inspirational.

Quite contrary to expectations, it is not sad or pitiful, but life-giving and full of energy. It moves you not because you feel sorry for the man because he is dying, but because he fulfilled his childhood dreams and recognized that that is one of life's most important goals.
