They had "Good Morning America" on. The sound was down so I could not hear what was going on. One TV was on top of me and the other was too far to read the caption.
I got to work and it was no better there was a TV in the paint department but I was too busy with customers to see what was happening.
All I had was what customers would tell me.I was in a complete and total panic people kept saying "America's under Attack!!!"
That was the die longest day ever! I got home and all I did was switch channels to see who had the best or and this newest coverage about what had happened.Pray to find people alive.
I started having nightmares. I dreamed nightly that men in black were rushing in on me. This lasted for weeks.
The president said we would get who did this But we were not doing any thing!!!I felt some comfort when we finally made move did not feel comfort in going to to war but I don't think it look good for us as a nation to sit by and just take 9/11 .
I don't remember if I was off the next day or or not but every moment I had at home I was consumed with worry watching the rescue. All I could think is someone is trapped and still alive.
Although I didn't know about my hydrocephalus I knew I was not physically able to go to New York and help in the rescue efforts.
I was irritated by the people that thought this was a side show One guy that I worked with ask the another guy to go to New York for the weekend. What Doug thought was to help search. Doug made the comment "I'm only of for the weekend." He was also thinking they couldn't get much done.
Well, So was the other guy. He just wanted to go look. Doug was not a sensitive guy
himself. But he did have enough sense to know this was wrong! I mean Really!!!
We needed people up there to save lives not take up space and take pictures!!!
I never have under stood that... But I don't understand people looking at a bad wrecks either...
