One Year Surgery Free!!!!

Posted Sep 22 2008 11:06am
I have officially gone one whole year without having my head cut open! After the three times last year, that is quite an accomplishment! But I have not gone a whole year without any procedures, that will be at the end of November because last Nov I had the Gamma Knife procedure.

Speaking of GK, I have not hear anything yet from the hospital marketing department that wanted to do the on camera interview. I thought I was going to hear something by now. Oh well.

I really wasn't feeling too well today. I woke up at 7am and stayed in bed falling back asleep off and on until 11am. I had to get up at 11am to come downstairs to take my meds. After I took the meds I still felt very tired and my head felt heavy. It took several hours for me to really wake up. Once I did I felt pretty good. But later in the evening when I started getting tired again I started the heavy head feeling again. I can't tell if its sinuses or not, though earlier today, at least for awhile, I know it was. And I have all this static in my head. When there is quiet I hear static, not ringing, static. Its weird.

I also notice the dry mouth feeling is back since I started taking a higher dose of Lexapro. No big deal, but I was up several times last night to pee because I drank so much due to the dry mouth. A little annoying, but should go away soon.

My left ankle was bothering me today, it hurt like I twisted it or something but I know that I haven't, unless it happened while I was up for the bathroom in the middle of the night but I think that would have really made me wake up! It feels better now. I can't wait to get that new AFO brace. It would be really nice if they call Monday morning so I could wear it to set to show the guys how much better I will be the next time they hire me! Here's hoping!
