A teacher in Madison has spent the past 11 years getting young people involved in the environment and was recently honored by the area Garden Club.
MADISON – Gwen Montgomery, horticulture program specialist at Morris County’s Frelinghuysen Arboretum in Morris Township, received the Garden Club of America’s Elizabeth Abernathy Hull Award this spring for providing outstanding environmental education for the young people of Morris County. Giant Step
These are the kinds of activities that when placed together will make a huge difference in the lives of our future generations.
I am currently involved in Waynedale Green Connect - whose mission is to put together groups of small steps such as these to propel our future world into greener living.
What can you do to make your world a greener place? No Kermit the Frog jokes, please? LOL!
