I’ve been put on the Neupro patch. I’ve been on it for about two weeks now. It does work great for several reasons, the most obvious being, it works more consistently than taking pills. Secondly, you only have to remember it once a day and for PD’ers who forget things, that’s a great benefit! Thirdly, it’s one less pill to swallow.
I started with 2 mg, and two weeks later, I’m up to 6 mg, so I’m not sure what that means.
It doesn’t have any adverse side affects that I’ve noticed, although when it’s on my shoulders, it begins itching at about the 18 hour mark. Other than that, if your doctor recommends it, I recommend giving it a try.
