If, indeed, there are people who know the secret to health and beauty - it has to be mother and grandmother, right?
My mother always told me that my grandmother said that the best way to keep good skin was never to use a washcloth on the face. Apparently, this was supposed to keep that "well-scrubbed" look at bay.
I had read that each day she used a very rough washcloth and scrubbed her face vigorously! She looked pretty good until she died, when she was, what? 102? Now, don't get me wrong, I think Hepburn was one of the finest actresses that ever lived, next to Bette Davis, that is.
I never read how Bette washed her face. Actually, I was never that interested in how any of them washed their faces, but I do think it is comical how it is a particular source of interest to women everywhere.

All natural skin care products aside, Katherine Hepburn had another theory.

Hmmm--I wonder how Hillary washes her face?
