I am a firm believer in the separation of church and state. I do not believe I have the right to tell you who or what to have faith in- or not have faith in. It is my viewpoint that we need to follow the rule of the Founders of the United States when it comes to the crucial issue of church and government.
That's why Mike Huckabee scares me. He is cunningly using religion to win the right-wing of the Republican party. More than this, though, is the ways in which he sees other parts of the citizen challenges in America. Following is part of a Q and A with Huckabee on Health Care:
"1/3 self-insured; 1/3 don't want it; 1/3 can't afford it
Q: What can be done to provide coverage for the 47 million people don't have health insurance?
A: Of those 47 million, one-third don't have it because they are self-insured. Another one-third don't have it because they think they're healthy and invincible. There is one-third that don't have it because they can't afford it. And then there are a lot of people who have insurance, but they're underinsured. read more and be afraid- be very afraid!
