Today is Meningioma Awareness Day. A conference was held in Boston, though I did not get to attend, I read that it was good. I am currently trying to send an email to all my friends about it, but my email server is not cooperating!
Stand Up To Cancer was good last night. Very emotional, though, to know just how close I came, even though my tumors are non cancerous, the one surely was very aggressive. I am a survivor though, and although I didn't have the same fight cancer survivors did, I too am a survivor. I remember when I got my diagnosis how relieved I was when I was told they tumors were non cancerous. I don't like to refer to them as benign though, because to me they weren't. They caused some damage and therefore should not be considered benign!
