Because I am old enough to recall the beginnings of the woman's movement - my deeper understanding of the definition of the word feminism has always been more towards the first definition than the second. My knee-jerk reaction at the time of Hillary Clinton's announcement for the presidency was like most liberal women - let's finally elect a woman into the White House. However, that is not what feminism has ever to meant to me. My belief runs deeper than placing a woman, any woman into the Presidency.
So today, as it is a Womans Perogative to do - I no longer will be placing all my hopes and dreams and vision for our country and the safety of our children and grandchildren into the hands of a person just because she is a woman.
And I can't go the other way either and jump into the arms of charisma - Obama does not have the diplomatic skills that will be necessary to broker negotiations in such a volatile area of the world as the Middle East.
Front-runners often lose support - and the greater wisdom takes the lead. So, when all those ideas collide -at this point anyway - I am looking towards
