Going Green in Winter #3 - Use the Allen County Public Library!

Posted Jan 14 2011 8:20am
I love the library system here in Allen County. We have a beautiful new library downtown that houses every imaginable type of publication, along with a computer center, and Fort Wayne Public ACCESS, which is a public cable station that is open for public productions. The Allen County Public Library also houses one of the most respected genealogy departments in the United States, if not the world!

Beyond this, there are branches throughout the region. For example, if I want a book like My Reading Life by Pat Conroy I can access the library online, do a search for the book, place a hold on it, and have it delivered to the branch closest to me.

There are many other ways to utilize the services of our public library. Another thought? Donate your gently read books to them. A great way to continue to go green in winter. Recycle your books!
