Women needs lots of health care. WE are the ones who have periods, and have babies, and experience menopause. All of these changes in our lives bring us to the doctor.
And, I believe women monitor their health in more intuitive ways than men. Men are not usually in charge of their families meals, or cleanliness, or their physical life.
So, it is women who watch for those good habits that keep us healthy.
I, for one, am happy that I have lived a life with few 'female problems'. I took prenatal vitaminswhen I was pregnant for both of my kids, and they were born full term and healthy. And, these vitamins helped me have healthy and enjoyable pregnancies.
Menopause is another story. I stopped taking hormone supplements when the big scare went out a few years ago and actually experience very few menopausal symptoms anymore.
So, I have been lucky in that way--and I think it is largely genetic.
