My mother suffered an aneurysm rupture a week ago. The hospital initially had her in an induced coma after surgery (the coil surgery that goes through the groin) and no longer have her on anything. I understand that odds are grim when dealing with an aneurysm; grimmer still when talking about a coma after one. I just wonder, generally, how long do people stay in comas after undergoing surgery for a ruptured aneurysm; just trying to adjust my expectation and be as realistic about this situation as I can.
