I got to teach my first water aerobic class. We only had to call EMS for one lady!..."LOL"
So I went in planning to just do my 8 minute routine that I will be doing on test day when." Carol" my future boss was looking over my notes and decided let me do the entire class. Carol would guide me where needed. She was a great coach and when I ask her what I where improve she was very patient and reassuring that I would improve with experience.
I was not joking about the lady that we had to call EMS for. Carol had us playing a game at the end of class on swim noodles. The lady apparently had a small seizure in the water and became really confused.
She started to get upset at one point I thought I am going to have to bring her out of this. I look right at her and ask her " Do I need to do Mouth to mouth?"
She giggled a bit, then said "Nah that's all right."
Her history was she had a stoke which is what causes her to now have the seizures. As they were trying to get her out of the water she started trembling. I knew all the signals. But I'm not an employee yet so there was not much I could do to help.
