Energy Tip #8- Refrigerator is the Biggest Vampire Appliance in YOUR House!

Did you know that your refrigerator is the biggest vampire appliance in your house?  It runs all day and all night long, thus making it vampire appliance #1 when it comes to energy consumption!

Here is an easy way to find out if the fridge is really messing with your energy bill.

Close a piece of paper halfway in and halfway out of the door.  Pull gently on the paper and if it moves with no strength- its time to get a new seal.  

Old fridges don’t help- and if you are in the position to do so, the best thing to do would be to replace it if it is too old.
