Energy Tip #4 Keeping Warm

Posted Feb 10 2011 6:08pm
Today the schools were closed because of temperatures in the negative single digits.  Brrrrrrrrrrr!  When this type of weather hits many people don't realize that as humans we are prone to frostbite in a very short amount of time if we don't keep our skin covered.

This is not the time to haul out those special occasion dresses - no- it is the time however, to wear layers of clothes, heavy socks, gloves and that well-worn and well-loved hat.

During these cold temp periods we might want to hurl up our furnace temperatures, but don't !  Just wear sweaters, leggings, and even your hat in the house.  And, if you don't have everything you need to keep warm this time around, prepare for that next cold dip with a trip to your nearest resale outlet and stock up on sweatshirts, and other warm apparel.

Keep warm and keep those heating bills down.
