Disaster Kitsand other equipment ...

Posted Oct 30 2008 3:24pm
Disaster Kits and other equipment necessary to take care or disasters like the Kansas tornado that just erased a United States city is in short supply.

Guess why?

The war in Iraq has taken its toll in every area of America life. During Hurricane Katrina there were lots of whispers that the country's response time was off because our National Guard was fighting on foreign soil. For some reason, though, there was never a big uproar in that direction. Probably everyone was too busy thinking about what a good job "Brownie" was doing.

But, this time, the media is taking the issue to the streets. The Iraq War is depleting emergency preparedness here, and Americans are sick of it.
