Yesterday was the one year anniversary of my second surgery. That's right, one year ago I was lying in a hospital bed in the ICU totally drugged up because of a staph infection. I know I talked to a few people on the phone that day, but I really don't remember much of the conversations. The next day I had a few visitors but don't remember much of that either! It wasn't until they moved me out of the ICU that I was awake enough to remember things. Weird to think that was a year ago!
Today I spent about 8 hours working on the web show. It was fun. I didn't really have too much to do, but it is nice to be invited to join in. I wore my "Brain Tumors Suck!" T-shirt. I made a new one, I put the "Support brain tumor research..." part on the front. It was a hit! And a friend wants to help make it even better by giving the smiley face a tumor, or a bandage, on his head! After work I got an email from one of the producers specifically written to me thanking me for my work. That made me feel good. Unfortunately, except for a photo shoot on Wednesday we won't be filming again for awhile. I hope something else comes up soon. I really can't wait to get back to work!
I've been on the antibiotics for a couple of days now, but my toe still hurts, probably because I keep banging it in to stuff! I am afraid that I will have to go to foot doc to get it taken care of. Not looking forward to that! But right now just about anything would be better than the pain my toe has been in!
