We see movements and reactions and feel that she is aware of us and her surroundings, but all verbal function is lost due to her neurologist. she can swallow and would need a permanent feeding tube. Is there an chance for recovery of speech or understanding verbal cues so she could respond with pointing , etc. We're thinking of bringing her home and having hospice care come and allowing her to die without living in this prison of not being able to communicate.
