1ST ANNUAL PARKINSON’S JOURNEY THIRD PLACE WINNER IN THE PD FUNNIEST STORIES CONTEST!!!

We were having a birthday party for my youngest daughter recently. We set up the Wii games for all the little ones (ok - and the big ones too). I had to type in her name for one of the games and the alphabet was up on the screen to choose letters one at a time. It’s a little difficult to manipulate the pointer to the right letter so the arrow on the screen was shaking a little bit (even though I actually didn’t have a tremor at the time). One of my good friends (who had not played with a wii before) asked a very simple question: “why is it shaking so much”? Well, I couldn’t resist. That was just too easy. I looked at her with the straightest face I could muster and said “Because I have Parkinson’s”. It was quiet for like a second or two until I smiled and giggled a little bit. Then everyone just started laughing.
You have to have a sense of humor about things and that one little question was just too good to pass up.
CONGRATULATIONS TO KARI FOR HER SUBMISSION! KARI WON SECOND PLACE IN THE FIRST ANNUAL PJ FUNNIEST PD STORIES.
