high mean platelet volume?

Posted by nl364

I am a 40 year old, white female and I recently visited my doctor because of a lump on the left side of my neck (just below the base of my skull, but on the side) and slight twitching of my lower lip. The lump has been there for several months. I have also been experiencing tinnitus in the left ear. He ordered some blood tests and the results are back. The only things flagged were mean platelet volume, absolute eosinaphils, absolute basophils and vitamin D. The levels are: MPV of 10.3, EO# of 0.00, BA# of 0.00 and Vitamin D of 26. I have also recently had problems with tendonitis and some joint discomfort.  Any help interepreting this data would be greatly appreciated.
