My family practice doctor sent me to a dietitian that was not qualified to put me on a diet for reactive hypoglycemia. She wants me to eat 150 carbs/day, and from what i've been reading on the internet, I should be staying away from simple carbs that will cause a spike in my blood sugar. I bought some brown rice, fiber one cereal, whole grain crackers, and high fiber whole wheat bread. I was on a low carb diet when I started having low blood sugar attacks. Am I picking the right things to eat for this condition? I also have high cholesterol, so I was thinking it is important for me to get more fiber in my system. I am not over weight, but I don't want to gain weight from eating all the extra carbs. I was working out 5 days a week a month ago, before my low blood sugar started kicking my butt. Should I get back into it with some light walking once a day?
