I had blood drawn at a diagnostic lab 10 days ago. The technician tried to draw blood from two sites before calling a different technician to try. The second technician drew blood from the inside of my arm, between my elbow and my wrist, by gouging the needle in and out of my vein to "milk" the blood out. I bruised immediately, then there was a raised "horseshoe" shaped ring around the site for several days. I put ice on the swollen area, but now there are small whelps all over the bruised area. The bruise is approximately 2 inches by 2 1/4 inches wide. Should I see a medical professional because of these whelps?
