Whats a way to cure/help seasonial effective disorder?

Without medication. I will take herbs. If possible a cheap way!! Please!!!

I bought my son a "Happy Light" found here: http://www.verilux.com/light-therapy-lamps/happylight-light-therapy

This one is rather expensive, but Verilux has cheaper versions available. I would think you could find some elsewhere also.

The light mimics the sun, using it for 15 minutes a day helps my son keep his mood up.
