I am bi-polar and depression is prevailant lately with mine. I looked at the medications and what they help most and ambilfy is used to improve sleep and slow down maniac episodes. I am taking lamactical and I have recently increased it and I am beginning to see my depression beginning to go away. I am beginning to take part in everyday activities and no longer spend my days on the couch. Talk to your doctor about it.
