Aphrodite Hosta - Stupid bitch. I waited all summer long for this to bloom so I could smell what is described as a beautiful fragrance, but the hosta waited all summer long to send up some flower stalks. They are browning before blooming. Bitch. Next year perhaps. I probably delayed it's blooming when I moved it in the spring.
Tibouchina (Princess Flower). Stupid bitch. This also delayed budding until the end of summer. Again, I believe I caused it when I cut it back in the spring. The good news is that it will continue to bloom indoors for a few weeks. It's been cold enough that I think I'll be moving all the tropicals in this week.
Look at this - the zebra grass is now sending up sprays that look like fireworks. Elsa kitty is trying really hard to play with these through the window. They dance around in front of her, teasing her, tempting her. I will have to have the window screen repaired next spring. But, certainly you can understand the temptation?
Rob is well. Working every day. Sleeping in his own bed at night, trying really hard to go to bed at a decent hour. It doesn't work very well, staying up till all hours is a hard habit to break. He lays awake in bed for far too long.
My second 24 hour urine test came back showing no elevation in adrenalin levels this time. Good news. The doc doesn't want to see me again for a year - he'll just be keeping tabs on the size of that adrenal nodule.
Also, my blood tests at the cancer center came back fine as well, with the exception of the high WBC. That doc attributes it to an infected tooth. Once I get that taken care of, we'll check again.
All good news! Everything bad has been ruled out. It appears as though my feeling like shit is due to my stupid thyroid. I am feeling better lately, I'm certain it's been evening out.
