Earley explored the mental health care system on a personal level with his son and on a research level while writing his book and traveling the nation. "Crazy" refers to the mental health care system, not the patients.

"And in his book, he has done so much to help families know that they're not alone in trying to navigate the mental health system."

Earley is a huge voice for creating a mental health care system that works for the patients and the community. There are huge gaps and holes for patients to fall in to under our current mental health care system, and that is if they are even lucky enough to be treated at all.

We have a long way to go, the more great minds like Pete Earley stand up for our cause the more society will pay attention to the problem. A problem that with the right education and resources could be eliminated.
