The Diagnosis of Dying

In the current Journal of Clinical Ethics  [20(3)], George F. Davis argues (quite briefly) that instead of "declaring futility," as a way of globally assessing the patient and "unify[ing] the thinking and link[ing] all the separate activities together," the diagnosis to make in these types of patients is "dying."
