Last week, the Hawaii House of Representatives requested the state's Department of Health to convene a working group to examine overlap and conflicts among the state's laws concerning end-of-life directives (POLST, DNR, advance directives). This could be useful. In many states there are many separate statutory schemes with inconsistencies among defined terms and otherwise.
