Christian Lanciano - TRO Dissolved, LIfe Support Withdrawn

TheMartinsburg WV Journalreported Sunday that a decision was made to discontinue life support for Christian Lanciano, who has beenbrain deadin Martinsburg City Hospital's intensive care unit since he overdosed on heroin the previous week.
Attorney Paul Taylor, who has been representing the family, said that Lanciano's mother, Angela Lanciano Moreno, was eventually satisfied that all of the appropriate medical tests have been done to determine his true physical condition. Moreno initially disagreed with doctors, who had "prematurely determined that her son was brain dead and had no hope of recovery." Hoping to gain some additional time, Moreno obtained a temporary restraining order. But on Friday, Moreno asked Taylor to get that order dissolved.
Hopefully, there won't be any further erosion of trust in healthcare providers' diagnostic skills or motivations, and we will not see too much more of what was never intended or desired: regular judicial intervention in the determination of death.
