My first triathlon ever was in 1985 at Contra Loma Reservoir in Antioch. I was next to last out of the swim, ran out of breath just running to my bike, but somehow finished, and decided that I liked this new sport. Since then I have competed in in 78 triathlons including 5 IRONMAN triathlons and 14 half Ironman triathlons, 11 duathlons, 15 marathons, 5 century rides, 12 Death Rides and 12 adventure races.
